These are compiled spin reports sorted alphabetically. Multiple listings of a song indicates multiple spins in that week. Canadian (MAPL) Non-Canadian What is the MAPL designation all about? CRTC requires all Canadian radio stations to play a certain minimum percentage of Canadian music. The way the music qualifies as Canadian content is found on this CRTC web page. A word to Canadian artists: all music that has the MAPL information included on the CD and/or on the album showing that it qualifies will get a more ready acceptance at CIAY and I expect at other Candian radio stations too. The normal format for this is this symbol: ![]() Here are some other examples: I like this one as well because
it spells it out explicitly: all songs are 4-parts MAPL. This one shows clearly that the
songs on this album are 3 parts MAPL, and which qualification is not. This is my favorite format of
all, when only some songs on a CD are 4-parts MAPL and some are less.
Note that even the ones that are less still qualify since it only
