CMC's Great Canadian Worship Song Search Contest

Latest spin reports

These typically will be updated Mondays. These are compiled spin reports sorted alphabetically. Multiple listings of a song indicates multiple spins in that week.    Canadian (MAPL)     Non-Canadian

What is the MAPL designation all about? CRTC requires all Canadian radio stations to play a certain minimum percentage of Canadian music. The way the music qualifies as Canadian content is found on this CRTC web page. A word to Canadian artists: all music that has the MAPL information included on the CD and/or on the album showing that it qualifies will get a more ready acceptance at CIAY and I expect at other Candian radio stations too. The normal format for this is this symbol:
Here are some other examples:

I like this one as well because it spells it out explicitly: all songs are 4-parts MAPL.

This one shows clearly that the songs on this album are 3 parts MAPL, and which qualification is not.

This is my favorite format of all, when only some songs on a CD are 4-parts MAPL and some are less. Note that even the ones that are less still qualify since it only requires 2 out of 4.
