CIAY public advertising policy

PSAs
If the advertisement is for a time-limited event, and there is no purchase required to attend, it can be aired as a PSA (public service announcement). If one or both of the conditions are not met then it is treated as a paid commercial. CIAY may also choose to not air a PSA if it is determined that it is not appropriate for our radio audience.

Ads
Announcements of routine events, that are ongoing or limited duration, are paid commercials.

Timing
Lead-time less than two weeks on commercials and PSAs is accepted only at the discretion of CIAY production staff. PSAs that are to air for a short duration, such as three days or less, will generally not be considered for production, especially if not given with at least the minimum lead time, and will be aired only under special circumstances at the discretion of CIAY staff.
